Service Description

Every Wednesday evening for 4 weeks, with Julia Pankhurst. Switch off and have fun. Date: Course starts on 30th September - 21st October Time: 5 pm to 7 pm for 4 weeks. Introductory price: £128 Location: Pankhurst Gallery, Lee on the Solent Julia will take you through the basics of acrylic painting. you will be able to experiment in various mediums, work with textures/brushes, colour theory, composition, observation, and you will take away your very own painting in acrylic on canvas, with no pressure whatsoever. Julia has had her own art business for 16 years and is the owner of Pankhurst Gallery. Her Forte is realism, having the ability to paint whatever she sees; this is evident in her animal portraiture and seascapes, but adding vibrant colours and texture. Julia will walk you through the 4 elements that contribute to a great painting. You will be able to experiment with different mediums and textures, colours, and learn to observe. Julia will gently lead you every step of the way. The final class will be using all that you have learnt to create your own masterpiece painting. Everything will be supplied, including refreshments. Please make sure that you arrive 5/10 mins before your class starts
